WORK HARD PR IS A SPECIALIST ROCK PUBLICITY COMPANY FORMED BY ROLAND HYAMS, WHO BEGAN WORKING IN PR IN 1981 WITH LEGENDARY INDEPENDENT PUBLICIST KEITH ALTHAM, ASSISTING IN HANDLING THE ROLLING STONES, THE WHO, POLICE, SLADE, MOODY BLUES AND DONOVAN, AMONG MANY OTHERS.

By 1984 he had become a partner in Modern Publicity (with Alan Edwards), personally handling bands such as The Cult, Icicle Works, and Dead Or Alive. In 1986 he set up on his own as Roland Hyams PR and built up a roster which included high profile bands such as Duran Duran, Joan Armatrading, Bill Wyman, Ozzy Osbourne, Iron Maiden and The Stranglers.

After a period of (somewhat disastrous) diversification into band management, trading as 'Rock Hard PR and Management', he severed all ties with the bands he had managed and set up Work Hard PR in 1995.

Work Hard have generated numerous successful PR campaigns over the years for numerous hard rock acts' records and tours, plus select major rock orientated festivals and events. Success breeds success, and this is never truer than in the field of PR: press breeds press in the same way.

We have built a large database of press, (national, regional, student and fanzine), rock music oriented websites, national and regional radio and TV contacts which has been constantly updated and modified over the last 25 years.

We have publicised a host of 'name' rock artists such as Asia, Black Sabbath, Dio, ELP, Peter Frampton, Hanoi Rocks, Iron Maiden, KISS, Motorhead, Nirvana, Ozzy Osbourne, Queensryche, Robert Plant, Saxon, Skid Row, Slayer, Twisted Sister, UFO, WASP and Whitesnake over the years.

Events we have publicised in the past include the KISS headlined Kaos in the Park in 1997, Ozzfest at Milton Keynes Bowl in 1998, The Bulldog Bash in 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2009, The London International Tattoo Convention in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009, Monsters Of Rock in 2006 at Milton Keynes Bowl, GuilFest 2007, 2008 and 2009 and The Bizarre Ball in 2008 and 2009.

Work Hard is THE primary one-stop shop for rock publicity in the UK. We love rock and only work on records, tours and events that we would buy or go to anyway if we weren't so lucky to be working on them already. Roland Hyams
