DAVID
R BLACK:
New mini-album, UK tour
“Flag-waving Brit-rock is not only
alive and well, but is positively flourishing and if any more proof
were needed along comes David R Black…” – KERRANG! (4/5)
“Sublime Brit-rock – expect more
good things to come” – The Fly
“Brit-rock in the vein of Placebo,
Three Colours Red and Therapy?.
Excellent!” – Metal Hammer
“Sounds like Bob Mould in his poppier, Sugar moments” – Rock Sound
“Impressive debut that suggests the
band have more catchy guitar tunes to follow” – The Big Issue
“Enthralling live…David R Black are the real underground” – LA Times
THE BAND: David R (guitar/vocals), Sarit Black (bass/vocals), Paul Pai
(drums)
Following the positive reaction from their
two single releases and the first instalment of the Trinity mini-album
pairing – and successful tour support to the likes of 3 Colours Red
and Hanoi Rocks - DAVID R BLACK release the second part of their debut
album duology (!), and embark on a UK tour.
Musically,
David R Black‘s sound moves from avant-garde instrumental soundscapes
to aggressive art rock noise: “I know a lot of bands say this,
but for us it’s genuinely not a commercial-based thing,” says
Sarit. “It’s
about art and creativity, and the freedom to musically do anything
you want...”
